To host an animation workshop at your chosen venue you would just need to provide a workspace with some tables and plug sockets. Animation Nation would provide all the equipment and materials required!

We can provide up to six sets of equipment which includes Apple Mac laptops, digital cameras, stop-motion capture, music and editing software that is all very easy to use, allowing participants to work in up to six groups of 2-5.

We deliver a variety of workshops that can be completely tailored to suit your requirements, from one-hour taster sessions to a five-day workshop and anywhere in between! We can also offer the workshops as course of weekly sessions.

The content of each workshop would depend on age, ability and number of students participating, although below is some information on what each type of workshop would involve.

Half-day workshop

2-3 hours

Students devise a simple idea and make basic models/characters using modeling clay, producing animated films around 20-30 seconds long. Music would be added to each film after the workshop.

One-day workshop

5-6 hours

Students would devise an idea and produce a storyboard for their film, make models/characters and props using modeling clay, producing animated films around 50-60 seconds long complete with titles, credits and music.

Two-day workshop

10-12 hours

Students would devise an idea and produce a storyboard and script for their film, make detailed models/characters and props using modeling clay. Producing animated films around 1-2 minutes long complete with titles, credits and a detailed soundtrack including music, sound effects and voice-overs.

Three-Five-day workshop.

15-30 hours

The workshops would involve an advanced course in stop-motion animation skills and techniques. More time would be spent on all aspects of the production process resulting in longer higher quality films.
